Southeast Striders Walking Club in Athens, Georgia, is a local affiliate of America\u2019s Walking Club (aka American Volkssport Association – www.ava.org).<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/div>
We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage everyone, regardless of level of fitness, to get out, exercise and have fun doing it.<\/b><\/span><\/div>
Our Trailmasters create safe and interesting 5 and 10 kilometer walk events in and around Athens. Our motto is \u201cFun, Fitness and Friendship\u201d.<\/b><\/span><\/div>

Annual Club Membership is $10 for an individual and $15 for a household. Our AVA sanctioned 5k and 10k walks are usually held on Saturdays and are non-competitive. However, we do encourage members to keep personal achievement records in AVA Distance and AVA Event books to track their walking progress.
