Welcome to Southeast Striders Walking Club!

Southeast Striders Walking Club in Athens, Georgia, is an affiliate of America’s Walking Club (aka American Volkssport Association – www.AVA.org). We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage everyone, regardless of level of fitness, to get out, exercise, and have fun doing it. Our Trailmasters create safe and interesting 5 and 10 kilometer walk events in and around Athens. Our motto is “Fun, Fitness and Friendship”. Our walking activities are open to everyone.

Next Walk: Saturday, Dec. 13 – Christmas at Wire Park 5K.  Join the Southeast Striders for the Annual Christmas at Wire Park Celebration in Watkinsville. This will be a guided walk starting at Wire Park at 1725 Electric Avenue, Watkinsville, GA.  Arrive at 1:45 pm to register. Step off at 2:00 pm to begin the walk.  We will walk our regular Watkinsville 5K route finishing up at around 4:00 pm, just in time for the beginning of the Annual Christmas at Wire Park Celebration.  $4 to walk, $11 for T-shirts.  POC:  Harold Weber, 904-704-8402 or Marie Weber, 904-703-8403.
