Welcome to Southeast Striders Walking Club!

Southeast Striders Walking Club in Athens, Georgia, is an affiliate of America’s Walking Club (aka American Volkssport Association – www.AVA.org). We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage everyone, regardless of level of fitness, to get out, exercise, and have fun doing it. Our Trailmasters create safe and interesting 5 and 10 kilometer walk events in and around Athens. Our motto is “Fun, Fitness and Friendship”. Our walking activities are open to everyone.

Next Walk:    Saturday, March 22 – UGA Campus Walk 5K at 9:45am, step off at 10:00am. The walk route includes the Georgia Art Museum (restrooms available), UGA Trial Gardens, Lumpkin House, Physics Building, Sanford Stadium, Founders Memorial Garden, UGA Tate Student Center, and Stegman Coliseum. This walk provides a great cross section of the UGA campus. Start Point:  250 River Road, Parking Lot E07, Athens, GA across River Road from the Hugh Hodson School of Music.
